Built for the industry,
by someone in the industry.
Construction Events is a side project that came out of a working problem. I've spent the last twenty years in UK construction business development — meeting clients, walking sites, working trade shows — and the calendar of who's doing what, when and where has only got harder to track, not easier.
The big trade shows — UK Construction Week, Futurebuild, UKREiiF — are easy. They're marketed everywhere. What I kept missing were the smaller things: the CIOB regional symposium in Manchester, the CIBSE technical evening in Glasgow, the First Thursday Club drinks in Bristol, the local property breakfast my colleague was hosting two miles from the office. None of them live in a single place. Each one sits behind its own membership login, its own mailing list, its own Eventbrite page.
I started keeping a personal spreadsheet. Then a Google Calendar. Then a shared one for the team. Eventually I gave up and decided to build the tool I wanted to use — one calendar that pulls from every meaningful source, sorts out what's actually construction-relevant, and lets you filter by region, sector, and date the way you actually plan a week.
That's Construction Events. It scrapes the trade bodies, the trade publications, the major exhibition venues, and the regional networking clubs every week and surfaces the result here. Free for everyone, no login, no paywall, no algorithmic shuffle — just a working calendar of the UK built environment.
I also built it for a slightly more selfish reason: the more I dug into the regional scene, the more groups I'd never heard of after twenty years in the industry — bi-monthly curry clubs, monthly drinks, Sunday morning Net Gain meetups. A better calendar is a better excuse to show up at more of them and meet more of you.
If you run an event, organise a club, or know of a source we're missing — please submit it or email me. I read everything.

- · Not a ticketing platform — we link to organisers' pages
- · Not affiliated with any institution
- · Not selling your data — there isn't much to sell
- · Not finished — see the sources page for coverage
Tell me what's missing.
The fastest way to make this calendar more useful is to point me at the events I'm not finding yet — particularly regional groups in Belfast, Oxford, Southampton, and the South West. Every submission is read.
