Chaired by Alex Small of Tata Steel, this group is looking at how we can best leverage the knowledge that sits throughout the supply chain and the manufacturing base to add more value to projects and programmes. Constructing Excellence is delighted to welcome Sarah Laing-Gibbens, Head of Construction Procurement at the Department for Education , for a 90-minute online session with the Offsite Manufacturing & Technology Group. Sarah will provide insights into the Department for Education’s approach to Design for Manufacture and Assembly (DfMA) and industrialised construction , exploring how these principles are being embedded within the DfE’s new construction framework. The session will examine the role of standardisation, platform approaches, and modern methods of construction in driving greater efficiency, quality, sustainability, and value across the education estate.
