About this event
[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]The next instalment of our Members Only Lunch & Learn series will be hosted by Primekss. This CPD session focuses on achieving embodied carbon reduction through structural efficiency and the use of chemical post-tensioning and addressing drying shrinkage, the primary cause of deformation. By controlling shrinkage, slabs become stronger and can be made thinner, enabling faster construction and reducing embodied carbon. Combined with low carbon concretes and carbon-storing materials, this approach can deliver net-zero slabs. Through real case studies, we show how Steel Fibre Reinforced Self-Stressing Concrete controls shrinkage and mitigates deformation, delivers embodied carbon reduction and can create high-performance slabs.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
